Overview
The Financial Reporting Manager work closely with other financial professionals within MAKEEN to help evaluate the financial health and long-term sustainability.
This role requires working collaboratively with others in the organization to provide detailed reports that include projections for profits and losses.
The Financial Reporting Manager provide reports necessary for higher-level decision makers.
Primary duties involve preparing and examining financial reports on a periodical basis for different stakeholders, processing accounting transactions in compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, and preparing all types of tax returns with support from tax advisors in a timely manner.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform, and/or oversee and monitor financial accounting activities such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, accounting for leases, accounting for debt, employee benefits, and other financial reporting activities. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements based on IFRS.
- Build relationships with other related internal entities and ensure accuracy of data shared for monthly closing activities and year-end financial statements.
- Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization.
- Liaise with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues and supply external auditor with the required data and inputs to facilitate the auditing process.
- Coordinate the budgeting process between different internal departments. In addition, review and summarize their requirements to Finance Management.
- Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.
- Prepare financial input and projections and incorporate them in the annual business plan exercise.
- Ensure budget controls and monitor expenditures and compliance with approval authorities.
- Apply critical thinking on reviewing business models and investment opportunities with the ability to introduce or recommend improvements.
- Assist tax advisors in preparing Zakat, Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax and Transfer Price filing on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as per the relevant regulatory reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Review the tax return files prepared by tax advisors and ensure timely filing of returns and settlement of liability.
- Review agreements with vendors, clients, and partners to advise on applicable ZATCA regulations and Tax treaties.
- Provide advice to management on zakat and tax related inquiries.
- Maintaining full historical records of filings, proof of payments, reconciliations related to zakat and tax matters.
- Perform ad hoc duties and different work-related tasks as assigned by Finance Management.
Technical Competencies
- Critical data analysis skills and a proven ability to perform difficult calculations.
- Ability to incorporate Data Analytics into complex Business Models.
- Advanced skill in MS Excel and FI user experience in Oracle or SAP or equivalent ERP solution.
- Ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations and summarize them in written reports.
- Ability to adopt changes in accounting standards and treatments (IFRS) in a timely manner.
- Ability to adopt changes in tax regulation in a timely manner.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
