What You’ll Own

• The close. Group month-end across all entities, consolidation, and the bridge from local stat books to group IFRS
• Reporting and audit. Statutory financials, the year-end audit, and regulatory financial reporting across the regulators we're licensed under
• Controls and systems. The control environment a regulated digital asset firm actually needs, and the accounting tech stack that runs underneath it - including the AI workflows that should be doing most of the manual work
• The team. One accountant today, 4–6 people within 18 months. You hire, manage, and develop them
• The partnership. Trusted counterpart to the VP Finance, founders, Chairman, auditors, regulators, and investors
• Who you are:
• Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with 7+ years post-qualification experience, including a Controller or strong Assistant Controller seat at a regulated financial services or fintech business
• Deep IFRS, including the messy parts — consolidation, financial instruments, revenue, FX, business combinations. You can write the technical memo, not just cite the standard
• You've closed the books on a multi-entity, multi-currency group before. Ideally one with regulated entities. Bonus points for digital asset, payments, or capital markets exposure
• You're systems-fluent. You've implemented or migrated a GL, scoped integrations, and have strong opinions about what good accounting infrastructure looks like
• You actually use AI. Not "we're exploring it." You should be able to walk us through specific workflows you've built (either professionally or personally), what they replaced, and what they cost to run
• You're comfortable being the most senior accountant in the room and you're comfortable being wrong. You expect to be challenged and you challenge back
• You can hold the line on controls and standards without becoming the person who blocks the business. Builders, not gatekeepers

Bonus

• Prior experience at a high-growth fintech, payments business, or crypto-native firm
• Big 4 foundation, then went operator and never looked back
• GCC or MENA experience and an existing network of auditors, advisors, and regulators in the region
