Head of Commercial Lines Opportunity in Dubai

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Lines in Dubai to lead, structure, and grow their Commercial Lines division.

This is a senior leadership role focused on driving performance, managing day-to-day operations, and delivering strategic direction across the Commercial Lines (CLS) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the portfolio, supporting consultants, and ensuring exceptional client service standards.

The role requires strong regional experience across all areas of Commercial Lines insurance, working with independent professionals, SMEs, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior leadership to develop and execute commercial sales strategy, including new business growth and market expansion
• Collaborate with the Head of General Insurance and consultants on complex and strategic client accounts
• Align Commercial Lines initiatives with Sales Directors and broader business objectives
• Implement structured workflows to ensure proactive client engagement, policy reviews, and risk assessment
• Monitor team performance across renewals, claims, endorsements, and premium collections
• Ensure quote-to-issuance processes meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
• Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of SLA performance and exceptions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders
• Lead, coach, and develop the Commercial Lines team to foster a high-performance culture
• Drive portfolio growth through existing client relationships and professional networks
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with internal processes and company standards
• Maintain strict adherence to underwriting and regulatory guidelines

Experience Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of management experience in Commercial Lines insurance within the region
• Proven experience across underwriting, coverage analysis, pricing, policy implementation, and claims management
• Strong track record in managing and growing commercial insurance portfolios

Certifications

• CII qualification or equivalent in General Insurance (mandatory)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to engage effectively with clients, underwriters, and internal teams
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Fluent in English (additional languages are advantageous)
