About This Role
Key Job Responsibilities
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and support in the implementation of procedures and controls.
- Support in Month end cycle including posting on accruals and preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
- Record transactions in ERP.
- Process payments (vendor payments, government payments, insurance and other business-related payments (office rent, utilities etc.)
- Ensure the daily tasks are conducted in an organized manner.
- Prepare supplier account reconciliation on a regular basis.
- Prepare reconciliation between divisions and identify the variances.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely recording of transactions.
- Identify and accurately record payments that are subject to Value added Tax (VAT) and Withholding tax.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support in addressing audit findings.
- Maintain and update insurance related records and provide necessary information as and when requested.
- Prepare financial reports and ad-hoc analysis as requested.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial systems and software including ERP.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other job-related projects and/or assignments that he/she might be asked to do by his/her direct supervisor/manager for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances
