Finance Supervisor

Position details

Accounting and financial records

• Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy.
• Organize, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents according to policies and procedures.
• Record, store, access and analyze computerized financial information; classify, code and summarize data using journals, ledgers or computers.
• Prepare, maintain, audit and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing and payroll reports and tables.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.

Billing and collections

• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements according to company procedures.
• Follow up on and resolve past-due accounts and vendor invoices through payment or resolution.

Coordination and conduct

• Coordinate departmental tasks, serve as a role model or mentor, and assign and monitor work for timely completion and quality.
• Report work-related accidents or injuries promptly to a manager or supervisor.
• Follow company policies; maintain a clean and professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors; duties include moving or carrying objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required; no license or certification is specified.
