About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Settlement Specialist who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English to support our settlement operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in technology-driven financial environments and possess a strong understanding of settlement processes, payment systems, and operational workflows.
This role requires close collaboration with Operations, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient settlement of transactions while driving automation and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end settlement processes for client and company transactions.
- Monitor daily settlement activities to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, failed transactions, and reconciliation issues.
- Collaborate with technology teams to troubleshoot system-related settlement issues.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams to improve settlement workflows.
- Support the implementation of new settlement products, payment channels, and operational processes.
- Perform daily reconciliations between internal systems, payment providers, exchanges, and banking partners.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor settlement risks and escalate operational issues promptly.
- Prepare settlement reports, operational metrics, and management dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in system testing, UAT, and production rollouts for settlement-related enhancements.
- Assist in documenting operational procedures and maintaining process documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Settlement Operations, Payment Operations, FinTech, Financial Services, Cryptocurrency, FX, or Banking.
- Technical background with the ability to understand system architecture, APIs, databases, and operational platforms.
- Experience working with payment systems, reconciliation platforms, or transaction processing systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Python, or data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
