Contract and Work Pattern

• This is a full-time, permanent, onsite role in Nottingham.
• The shift pattern is standard hours.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with business stakeholders.
• Own weekly reporting and support monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and KPI review.
• Deliver financial analysis and models for strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions.
• Partner with Logistics and finance teams to provide financial guidance and challenge.
• Improve financial models, forecasting tools, and reporting systems through automation and simplification.
• Lead month-end close activities, including accruals, reclasses, and financial commentary.
• Update senior leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop a finance analyst and contribute to wider team talent development.

Must-Have Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in finance management or FP&A.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Additional Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in the logistics sector is advantageous.
• Familiarity with financial modelling and forecasting tools is advantageous.
• A relevant finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent is advantageous.
