Finance Manager

About This Role

• Design and develop financial strategies and policies, procedures, processes and internal controls that will minimize the risk of fraud, error or misstatement of the financial statements, protect company’s assets, while maximizing business efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting, financial and management information that meets established and agreed accounting and financial principles and standards, which will enhance business capabilities, results and effective decision making.
• Develop financials, capital and operating plans, budgets and strategies with inputs from functional department heads, which will lead and drive the business strategy.
• Develop models, templates and other outputs that facilitate and support quick, efficient and successful business decisions and actions.
• Establish and maintain reliable, cost effective and appropriate relationships with financials providers which ensure that cash management, banking facilities and treasury transactions are optimized, which will ensure that the company’s cash and fund flow and surplus or deficit.
• Ensure that the business assets, premises and transactions are reviewed, audited, investigated, managed and/or covered by adequate and appropriate statutory, regulatory, legal and insurance protection or risk management products / suppliers.

· Conduct checks that will ensure that credit is given judiciously but pragmatically in order to maximize sales while maintaining the company’s objectives of ageing and minimization of bad debts.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Develop & communicate the teams strategy, objectives & operational plan.
• Manage the execution of department objectives & Plans.
• Develop & Manage department budget In alignment with overall organizational goals.
• Set and communicate performance targets for departments, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for department leaders, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Lead and inspire department heads to achieve their strategic and operational goals.
• Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports, providing feedback and setting development goals.
