Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• **Financial Accounting & Reporting:**
• Oversee the day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring all accounting entries are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• **Project Accounting:**
• Manage project-related financial activities, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and expense allocation for fit-out or construction projects.
• **Tax Filing & Compliance:**
• Prepare and file VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Ensure timely submission and adherence to local tax laws.
• **Statutory Accounting:**
• Ensure all statutory financial reporting is completed in accordance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
• **Budgeting & Forecasting:**
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs.
• **Cash Flow Management:**
• Monitor cash flow for ongoing projects, ensuring effective working capital management.
• Coordinate with project managers to forecast cash needs and optimize cash positions.
• **Internal Controls & Compliance:**
• Develop and implement internal financial controls to ensure robust policies and procedures.
• Regularly review accounting practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• **Reconciliation:**
• Ensure timely reconciliation of project accounts, bank accounts, and supplier payments.
• **Contract & Payment Management:**
• Oversee contract reviews from a financial perspective and manage accounts payable and receivable for project contracts and suppliers.
• **ERP System Management:**
• Ensure efficient use of ERP system for financial reporting and project accounting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with specific expertise in project accounting or fit-out/construction industry.
• Strong experience in tax filing and statutory accounting in the UAE.
• Solid understanding of UAE tax laws (including VAT) and IFRS standards.
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced in Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
