Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager with a solid background in contracting/construction companies to lead and manage the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project-based accounting, cost control, financial planning, and cash flow management within a contracting environment.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can provide financial insights to support business decisions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and enhance operational efficiency across multiple ongoing projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and UAE financial regulations.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Project Accounting & Cost Control

• Manage project accounting, including budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
• Monitor job costing, project profitability, and margin analysis across multiple projects.
• Track and report on Work-in-Progress (WIP) and ensure accurate financial representation.
• Oversee progress billing, variations, and retention accounting.
• Collaborate with project and operations teams to control costs and improve financial performance.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Develop financial models to support strategic planning and project feasibility analysis.
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for project execution.
• Optimize working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory management.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely collections.

Compliance & Audit

• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare audit schedules and ensure smooth completion of internal and external audits.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance.
• Establish clear KPIs and drive accountability within the department.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager or Finance Controller role.
• Mandatory experience in contracting, construction, façade, aluminum, or related industries.
• Strong expertise in project accounting, job costing, WIP accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Experience handling progress billing, variations, retention, and project-based cash flows.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fluency in English is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
