Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in contracting/construction companies to lead and manage the financial operations of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in project-based accounting, cost control, financial planning, cash flow management, along with solid experience in Letters of Credit (LCs) and contract financial management within a contracting environment.

This role requires a strategic thinker capable of providing financial insights, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency across multiple ongoing projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting

• Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets

Project Accounting & Cost Control

• Manage project accounting including budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition
• Monitor job costing, project profitability, and margin analysis
• Track and report Work-in-Progress (WIP) accurately
• Oversee progress billing, variations, and retention accounting
• Work closely with project teams to control costs and improve financial outcomes

LC Management & Contract Finance

• Handle Letters of Credit (LCs) including issuance, amendments, documentation, and compliance with banking requirements
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, and clients for LC processing and settlements
• Review and manage financial aspects of contracts, including payment terms, milestones, and risk clauses
• Ensure proper accounting and tracking of contract-related revenues and obligations
• Support commercial and procurement teams in contract negotiations from a financial perspective

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting
• Develop financial models for project feasibility and strategic planning
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure project liquidity
• Optimize working capital (receivables, payables, inventory)
• Ensure timely collections from clients and manage supplier payments

Compliance & Audit

• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and statutory requirements
• Prepare audit schedules and support audit processes

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and develop the finance team
• Set KPIs and drive accountability
• Promote continuous improvement and professional development

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting
• 10–15 years of progressive finance experience
• Minimum 5 years in a Finance Manager / Finance Controller role
• Mandatory experience in contracting, construction, façade, aluminum, or related industries
• Strong expertise in:
• Project accounting & job costing
• WIP accounting & revenue recognition
• Progress billing, variations, and retention
• Letters of Credit (LCs) and contract financial management
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT
• Excellent analytical and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
