Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Finance Manager** with a strong background in contracting and construction companies to lead the financial operations of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in **project-based accounting, cost control, financial planning, and cash flow management** within a multi-project environment.
This role requires a strategic and detail-oriented professional who can deliver accurate financial insights, ensure regulatory compliance, and support effective decision-making across ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and UAE financial regulations.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
2. Project Accounting & Cost Control
- Manage full project accounting cycle including budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
- Monitor job costing, project profitability, and margin performance across multiple projects.
- Track Work-in-Progress (WIP) and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee progress billing, variation orders, and retention accounting.
- Collaborate with project and operations teams to control costs and improve margins.
3. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Develop financial models for strategic planning and project feasibility.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure project liquidity requirements are met.
- Optimize working capital, including receivables, payables, and inventory cycles.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely collections.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare audit schedules and ensure smooth completion of internal and external audits.
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance.
- Define KPIs and drive accountability across the department.
- Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Minimum 5 years in a Finance Manager or Finance Controller role.
- Mandatory experience in **construction / contracting / façade / aluminum industries**.
- Strong expertise in:
- Project accounting
- Job costing
- WIP accounting
- Revenue recognition
- Progress billing, variations, and retention accounting
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
