Role Description

The Finance Manager role at Secretaría Ejecutiva Consejo Agropecuario Centroamericano is a part-time position based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence and remote work.

The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and the preparation of periodic financial statements and management reports.

This role will monitor expenditures against budgets, ensure accurate recording of transactions, and maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable financial regulations.

The Finance Manager will coordinate audits, support grant and project accounting, and collaborate with program and administrative teams to provide financial analysis for decision-making.

The role also includes improving financial processes, implementing internal controls, and supporting leadership with strategic financial planning and risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, audit processes, and financial compliance standards.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, prepare clear reports, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets; comfort working with digital financial tools and databases.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a part-time, hybrid setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Experience in international organizations, NGOs, or agricultural/agribusiness sectors is beneficial.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
