Position Summary
The Finance Controller – Projects is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of project
operations, ensuring effective financial planning, budgeting, cost control, reporting, compliance,
and risk management across multiple industrial coating and corrosion protection projects.
The
role supports project management teams by providing financial insights, monitoring project
profitability, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and company
policies.
Financial Planning & Control
- Develop project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor project costs, revenues, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure financial resources are utilized efficiently.
Project Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project accounting records and cost allocations.
- Prepare monthly project financial reports, management accounts, and performance
- dashboards.
- Monitor project KPIs, cost-to-complete analysis, and earned value metrics.
- Coordinate project audits and financial reviews.
Cost Management
- Track labor, material, subcontractor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Review purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and payment applications.
- Monitor project margins and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure proper cost coding and project cost control procedures.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts and funding requirements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and project collections.
- Coordinate with clients regarding payment certifications and invoicing.
- Manage working capital requirements and cash utilization.
Commercial & Contract Support
- Review project contracts and identify financial risks.
- Support variation orders, claims, change orders, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and payment schedules.
- Assist project teams in financial evaluation of bids and tenders.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian financial regulations, VAT, ZATCA requirements,
- and company policies.
- Coordinate external and internal audits.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance procedures.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS accounting standards.
Risk Management
- Identify financial and commercial risks associated with projects.
- Develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk exposure.
- Support project management teams in financial decision-making.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Procurement, and Executive
- Management.
- Lead and mentor finance and project accounting teams.
- Present financial performance reports to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
- Professional qualification preferred:
- ○ CPA
- ○ ACCA
- ○ CMA
- ○ CA
- MBA (Finance) is an advantage.
Requirements
- Minimum 8–15 years of finance and accounting experience.
- At least 5 years in Project Finance Control within:
- ○ Industrial Coatings
- ○ Corrosion Protection
○ Oil & Gas
○ Petrochemical
○ EPC Projects
○ Construction & Industrial Services
- Strong experience in Saudi Arabia and GCC markets.
- Experience handling multi-million SAR projects.

Preferred Requirements
