Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, and marketplace transactions; track learner payments, commissions, refunds, and instructor earnings.
• Arrange approved instructor payouts and manage monthly payroll and employee payments.
• Support budgets, expense monitoring, cash-flow planning, and forecasts for revenue, expenses, cash flow, and payouts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and management information.
• Analyze trends, variances, discrepancies, cost movements, and opportunities; perform budget-versus-actual analysis.
• Advise management with financial analysis, monitor performance against plans, and flag financial risks.
• Resolve discrepancies, keep records accurate, support audits and compliance, and coordinate with Operations and Technology on payment and reporting matters.

Requirements and qualifications

• At least 5 years of accounting, finance, financial reporting, or related experience.
• Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field; the posting also specifies a bachelor's degree as required.
• Experience in payroll, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of budget-versus-actual analysis, cash-flow monitoring, and financial performance reporting.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets and accounting software skills.
• The posting lists 4 years of payroll, cash flow and audit; 4 years of tax filings and audits; and 4 years of budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections as required experience.
• Marketplace, e-commerce, EdTech, or technology-business experience is advantageous.
• QFC process knowledge and QFC portal experience are added advantages.
• The role calls for numerical accuracy, analytical communication, independent deadline management, organization, and problem-solving.

Pay

• QAR 6,000–7,000 per month.
