Job Description – Finance Accountant

Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Handle full accounting cycle including:

• Accounts Receivable (AR)

• General Ledger maintenance
• Journal entries
• Month-end and year-end closing
• Perform bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, customer/debtor reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
• Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate collections where necessary
• Ensure timely supplier payments and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Maintain fixed asset registers and prepayments/accrual schedules
• Support internal and external audits and coordinate audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, VAT regulations, and financial procedures
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports for senior management
• Assist with payroll-related accounting entries where required
• Support process improvements and reporting efficiencies
• Coordinate with operational teams and management to ensure financial accuracy
• Supervise and support junior finance staff where applicable
• Work collaboratively as a team player across departments

Requirements

• Strong experience in financial accounting and reconciliations
• Hands-on experience managing AP, AR, bank reconciliations, creditors, and debtors
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
• Good understanding of full accounting cycles and audit processes
• Experience working in multinational environments preferred, especially UK & UAE operations
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
• Team management and leadership skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Experience with accounting and ERP systems preferred
• Experience with reporting tools such as:

• Microsoft Power BI

• Tableau
• Knowledge of automation and AI-based reporting tools will be an advantage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification preferred
• Candidates currently pursuing professional qualifications may also be considered based on experience and skills

Preferred Experience

• 3–6 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
• Experience in management accounting and financial reporting
• Experience handling audits and financial compliance
• Experience managing or supervising finance teams
• Experience working in fast-paced business environments
• Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
