Film Faculty Associate

Essential Functions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 4 years of professional industry experience; or a Master’s degree in relevant field and 2 years of professional industry experience; or a Ph.D. in a relevant field with related experience, and/or any combination of education and experience, by time of appointment.

Desired qualifications

• M.F.A or Ph.D. in relevant field by time of appointment
• Experience in general film production; field sound production; visual effects; creative producing; cinematography; directing; post production; relevant to each course
• Record of scholarly publication and/or evidence of professional productions
• Ability to teach film theory in relation to film production practices
• Evidence of effective teaching
• Minimum of two years of post-secondary teaching experience
