Field Service Engineer - Gas & Process Division

Role overview

Service and technical duties

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, inspections and major overhauls on turbomachinery.
• Execute workshop and field service activities, including work scopes, manpower planning and work schedules.
• Prepare RAMS, inspection and testing plans, and detailed technical service reports.
• Recommend spare parts, retrofits, upgrades and performance or reliability enhancements based on customer equipment assessments.
• Overhaul turbomachinery on LNG vessels during sailing operations and in dry dock.
• Coordinate with product engineering and product support to resolve technical issues and customer queries.
• Train and guide customer personnel on turbomachinery operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support aftermarket data analysis and improvement initiatives with sales and commercial teams when field activity is reduced.

Qualifications and skills

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications.
• At least 3 years servicing, maintaining and repairing rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of turbomachinery, including mechanics, hydraulics, lubrication and seal gas systems.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems; strong communication, organization and reporting capabilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively on short notice.

Work environment and safety

• Work includes customer-site and workshop service, including exposure to natural gas processing environments, loud noise and inclement weather.
• The role may require working at heights and in confined spaces, using PPE and breathing apparatus, and handling hazardous gases.
• Strictly follow HSE policies, site-specific safety plans and applicable international safety standards.

Working arrangements

• Extended working hours, weekend assignments and on-call rotations may be required.
• Support site access requirements such as permits, inductions and logistical coordination as needed.
