Field Engineer

Role overview

Construction supervision

• Monitor construction for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and report progress, quality, and safety performance.
• Review method statements, inspection requests, material submissions, and work procedures.
• Verify works against approved plans, applicable codes, and standards.

Coordination and delivery

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Assist with schedule monitoring and identify potential delays or risks.
• Maintain site records, daily reports, and inspection documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover; assist the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager with project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of construction supervision, inspection, or site engineering experience on major building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control procedures, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contractor submissions; ability to identify and resolve construction issues.
• Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.

Desired experience

• Experience on mega projects, landmark developments, hospitality projects, convention centers, or large mixed-use developments is desired.
• Previous Construction Supervision Consultant experience, BIM-enabled delivery familiarity, and knowledge of testing, commissioning, and handover are desired.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment are desired.
