Overview

  • The position of FF&E Designer sits within the Design Department and reports directly to the Head of Design.
  • The role is based in Dubai and operates as a full-time, execution-focused position responsible for delivering FF&E scope across multiple high-end residential projects.
  • The FF&E Designer does not manage a team but is fully accountable for the quality, accuracy, and readiness of all FF&E deliverables under their responsibility.
  • The FF&E Designer begins each project by thoroughly understanding the approved concept, moodboards, and client requirements. This includes aligning with the Head of Design and the wider design team to ensure clarity on the design direction and expectations. Based on this understanding, the FF&E Designer develops a complete selection of furniture, lighting, accessories, and related materials that reflect the design intent and meet the standards of EVA’s high-end positioning.
  • All selections must be carefully evaluated before submission to ensure they are suitable for the project, available in the market, and aligned with the client’s expectations. The FF&E Designer is responsible for validating costs in coordination with Procurement or suppliers prior to submission, ensuring that the full FF&E package remains within the approved project budget. Any deviation from budget must be identified and resolved before presentation, as submissions that are not commercially aligned are not acceptable.
  • The role requires the preparation of complete and detailed FF&E documentation, including bills of quantities, item specifications, datasheets, material descriptions, and supplier references. All information must be accurate, clearly structured, and sufficient for Procurement to proceed without requiring further clarification. Incomplete or conceptual-level submissions are not acceptable at this stage.
  • The FF&E Designer is responsible for presenting the FF&E package to the client in a clear and professional manner, ensuring that the design intent, selection logic, and overall composition are well communicated. The role requires managing the full approval process, including tracking client feedback, implementing necessary revisions, and maintaining a structured record of approvals. A strong emphasis is placed on achieving approvals from the first submission, with minimal reliance on revisions.
  • All work must be documented and maintained within the company’s system (Teamwork), including selections, submissions, approvals, and revisions. The FF&E Designer is required to ensure that all updates are completed within a maximum of 24 hours. Any work not recorded in the system is considered incomplete and non-compliant with company standards.
  • Upon receiving final client approval, the FF&E Designer is responsible for handing over a complete and execution-ready package to the Procurement team. This includes all approved items, specifications, and supporting documentation. The role continues to support Procurement during the sourcing and purchasing stage by providing clarifications and ensuring that the design intent is preserved during execution.
  • Throughout the project lifecycle, the FF&E Designer must maintain close coordination with Design, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure alignment and prevent gaps between design and execution. The role requires proactive communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they impact project delivery.
