Overview

Role Overview

Creative Direction & Collection Development

• Lead the creative development of seasonal apparel and accessories collections
• Work closely with the Creative Director to execute and maintain the overall design vision and aesthetic direction of the brand
• Develop mood boards, design concepts, color stories, and collection themes
• Ensure consistency of brand identity across all collections and product categories
• Translate creative concepts into commercially viable collections

Product Development & Production Coordination

• Oversee the full product development lifecycle from concept to final production
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, pattern makers, sample rooms, and production teams
• Supervise fittings, garment reviews, sample approvals, and technical adjustments
• Ensure product quality, construction standards, and production feasibility
• Support sourcing and development of fabrics, trims, materials, leather goods, and accessories components

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise and mentor junior designers and design support resources
• Coordinate with merchandising, production, operations, and executive leadership teams
• Support the development of scalable internal design processes and workflows
• Contribute to strategic planning related to collections, launches, and brand growth

Market & Trend Analysis

• Conduct trend research, market analysis, and competitive benchmarking
• Monitor international fashion trends, materials, and consumer preferences
• Support sourcing trips and creative research activities when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in apparel and accessories design
• **Strong experience within luxury, premium, or contemporary fashion brands**
• Proven experience leading collection development and creative direction
• Strong understanding of:
• Garment construction
• Pattern development
• Fabrics and materials
• Accessories development
• Production and sourcing workflows
• Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers
• Previous experience managing or mentoring design teams preferred

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of apparel and accessories product development
• Strong fashion illustration and concept development capabilities
• Excellent knowledge of:
• Fabrics
• Leather goods
• Trims
• Accessories materials and components
• Strong understanding of sourcing and production coordination
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant fashion design tools
• Strong presentation and communication skills

Preferred Background

• Experience with Europeanor/international fashion brands
• Fashion and accessories experience preferred
• Experience launching or scaling fashion collections is a plus
• Exposure to Middle East or GCC fashion markets is advantageous
• Strong alignment with a modern luxury aesthetic that blends refined tailoring, functional sophistication, clean architectural silhouettes, and contemporary sport-inspired design
