Family Practice Physician

Story County Medical Center is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages.

This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.

• Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including wellness exams and diagnostic evaluations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Deliver preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling
• Perform employment, pre-operative, well-child, and annual physicals
• Participate in minimal rotational inpatient and skilled care call
• Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Licensed to practice medicine in Iowa
• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
• DEA registration
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Mandatory Reporter certifications

• Previous experience in family medicine or primary care

• Broad clinical expertise across all age groups
• Ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions
• Strong communication and patient relationship skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Proficiency with EMR systems and healthcare technology
