Role Description
We are seeking multiple
***Façade Designers (SolidWorks)***
for our
***Dubai office.***
This is a full-time, on-site position.
The role involves preparing and reviewing detailed shop drawings, developing façade design solutions, and supporting cladding and glazing projects.
The position requires close coordination with engineering teams, project managers, production, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil preferred).
- ***Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks***
- (3D modelling, assemblies, and detailing).
- Proven experience in preparing fabrication and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
- Experience in the façade industry is an advantage.
- Preferably based in the UAE.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines, including extended working hours if required.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections, and setting-out drawings) using SolidWorks in line with project specifications.
- Prepare fabrication/shop drawings, cutting lists, and material take-offs (MTO) directly from SolidWorks models in compliance with project and company standards.
- Review and analyse project specifications, tender documents, and contract drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness of design deliverables.
- Ensure all drawings and models meet architectural, structural, and BOQ requirements while adhering to quality and productivity standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders (engineering, production, procurement, and site teams) to validate design inputs and resolve clashes.
- Provide technical support during fabrication and installation by resolving design-related issues and implementing necessary updates or corrective actions.
- Support material planning by issuing accurate pre-order and material requirement data to the Material Coordinator and Procurement team.
- Generate accurate data for CNC and production requirements where applicable.
- Maintain proper version control, documentation, and records of all drawings and models.
- Monitor design progress against project timelines to ensure all deliverables are submitted on schedule.
- Contribute to design optimisation, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives within the division.
