Location and work arrangement
- Dubai, UAE; office-based with site visits.
- Full-time, permanent role.
- Immediate to 30-day joining timeframe stated.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, or Architectural Technology.
- 5–10 years of facade design experience, including at least 3 years in the UAE or GCC.
- Proven curtain wall and cladding design experience on high-rise or large commercial UAE projects.
- Working knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence and Trakhees / DDA submission requirements.
Technical skills and standards
- Detail unitized and stick curtain walls, cladding, windows and structural glazing; understand aluminium extrusions, thermal breaks, finishes and system suppliers.
- Knowledge of laminated, tempered, heat-strengthened, insulated and low-E glass; brackets, anchors, sealants and fire stopping.
- Basic knowledge of wind loads, thermal and acoustic performance, and air, water and structural testing.
- Standards include Dubai Building Code, Civil Defence code, ASTM, EN, AAMA and CWCT.
Responsibilities
- Prepare buildable, code-compliant facade shop drawings and details for aluminium and glass packages.
- Develop facade documentation from tender stage through construction and as-built delivery.
- Detail unitized and stick curtain walls, cladding, windows and structural glazing.
- Coordinate facade work with the project head, engineering, procurement, factory and site teams.
