Export Sales Manager (Fire protection system- Europe UK and Africa)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Export Sales Manager to grow our fire protection systems business across Europe, the UK and Africa. The successful candidate will combine strong selling skills, solid technical knowledge of fire protection solutions, and excellent communication ability to secure and develop key accounts, manage distributors and drive profitable sales growth. Key Responsibilities – Export Sales Management
- Develop and execute sales strategies for fire protection systems (sprinklers, pumps, hydrants, deluge systems, detection/integrated solutions) across Europe, the UK and Africa to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Identify, qualify and win new business opportunities—direct customers, contractors, consulting engineers, distributors and OEM partners—while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
- Manage the distributor and partner network: recruit, onboard, train and support partners to ensure brand alignment, technical competence and commercial performance.
- Provide technical-commercial support during the sales cycle, preparing proposals, quotations, commercial terms and coordinating with engineering to ensure compliant and competitive solutions.
- Prepare and lead tender submissions, negotiate contracts, and close deals in line with company policies and risk appetite.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Project Engineering, Operations, Logistics and After-Sales to ensure timely delivery, installation support and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes across territories; translate insights into sales initiatives and product feedback to Product Management.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and regular performance updates for senior management; maintain CRM records and ensure data accuracy.
- Plan and execute territory visits, customer meetings, trade shows and technical workshops; represent the company at industry events and with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with export controls, commercial terms, local regulations and applicable fire safety standards in each market.
Required Skills – Selling Skills, Technical Knowledge, Communication
- Proven selling skills with a track record of achieving sales targets in technical capital goods or building services, ideally within fire protection, MEP or related industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, components and standards (e.g. NFPA, EN, local Civil Defence requirements) with the ability to translate technical detail into commercial value for customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to present confidently to customers, consultants and senior stakeholders. Additional European or African languages are advantageous.
- Experience managing distributor channels and partner relationships, including training, commercial terms and performance management.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills; comfortable structuring contracts, pricing and risk mitigation for international sales.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and sales reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities across different time zones and cultural contexts.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in fire protection systems, MEP contracting, or engineering products with demonstrable export or international territory management.
- Direct experience selling to consultants, contractors, distributors and end-users across Europe, the UK and/or African markets is required.
- Proven experience preparing technical-commercial proposals and managing tenders for complex building services projects.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across assigned territories.
