Executive Sous Chef - Kuwait

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations across assigned outlets or concepts; supervise and motivate the culinary team.
• Ensure dishes meet company standards and recipes; oversee mise en place, preparation, production planning, and service readiness.
• Monitor workflow during busy service periods and support menu development, new dishes, seasonal specials, and presentation standards.
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards; monitor costs, portions, wastage, inventory, and stock rotation.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, storage, and handling of food products; train and coach team members and conduct daily briefings.
• Coordinate with service, purchasing, stewarding, and management; lead the kitchen when the Executive Chef is absent.
• Support operational improvements and consistency across food production areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Executive Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef, or in a similar senior culinary role.
• Strong experience in restaurants, hospitality groups, hotels, or high-volume food and beverage operations.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, menu execution, and culinary standards; strong leadership, team-management, and training skills.
• Understanding of food cost control, inventory, portion control, and wastage reduction; excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and handle pressure; organized, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and professional, with communication and problem-solving skills.
• International hospitality or multi-outlet experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.
