About The Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an

Executive Sous Chef

  • to join
  • Jumeirah Mina Al Salam.
  • The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B Manager to develop sales strategies and special events.
  • Supervise kitchen team members, conduct briefings, provide feedback, and establish training plans to develop competencies.
  • Conduct spot-checks to monitor compliance with procedures, hygiene, and par stocks, reporting findings to the General Manager.
  • Enforce adherence to SOP formats among kitchen management colleagues, adjusting for improvements under Executive Chef guidance.
  • Verify delegated duties are carried out in accordance with hotel standards and instructions.
  • Supervise daily attendance, control punctuality, absenteeism, and overtime, ensuring accurate recording of duty times.

About You

  • The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive culinary experience within luxury hospitality, large-scale resort operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or Executive Sous Chef capacity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage or another relevant field.
  • Strong capability to support the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional, guest-centric culinary experiences, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation across all outlets and dining concepts.
  • Strong operational and financial awareness, with experience in managing food costs, controlling waste, supporting budgeting processes, and optimising kitchen efficiency.
