Role responsibilities
- Direct guest calls, requests, and issues to the appropriate person or department when needed.
- Use sales techniques, including suggestive selling, to optimize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
- Select and provide guest thank-you gifts, such as reward points, show tickets, or gift certificates; promote brand awareness.
- Process Marriott Rewards point-redemption requests and enter rewards information when taking reservations.
- Process room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email.
- Handle and record guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Provide general Sales and Marketing office support, including filing, emailing, transcribing, and faxing.
- Assist management with training and motivating employees; serve as a role model.
- Follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company property.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, communicate professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Monitor others' performance to ensure quality expectations and standards are met.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors; the role includes moving or handling objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
Desirable qualifications
- At least two years of related work experience is desirable.
- Secondary-school education or a GED-equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Supervisory experience is not required; no licence or certification is listed.
