Executive R&D - Packaging

Job Summary

Roles & Responsibilities

• :
• To support the launch of new products, following R&D plan and interacting in teams with Sales, Marketing, Production and Quality representatives.
• To identify cost saving opportunities for the packaging material and implement across the packaging portfolio.
• Qualification of packaging material with the coordination of production, Quality and warehouse team.
• End-to-end project management for packaging development projects.
• Define quality parameters of packaging material and prepare specifications accordingly.
• Conduct trials for the new packaging development, Value-engineering, Machine Modifications for packaging material.
• Finding alternate sustainable packaging solutions to support sustainable ambition of IFFCO group.
• Handle customer complaints related to packaging and to provide solutions in coordination with production team, lab technician as support of Sales department.
• To Lead the artwork approval system in coordination with all internal stakeholders.
• To manage good technical data records-project data, artworks, trial reports.
• Participation in exhibitions and conferences for the packaging of flour products and developing and understanding new developments in packaging & latest technology.
• Adherence to IFFCO HSE Policy.
• Understand, reflect & practice IFFCO’s vision & values

Technical Competencies

• :
• 6+ yrs. of relevant Packaging Development experience.
• Understanding of Flexible Packaging, Paper packaging. Added advantage experience in food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of different packaging material applications and its testing.
• Problem Solving & Result oriented
• Fluent in English speaking
• Bias for action and high sense of accountability and responsibility is must.
• Consumer centricity.
• Ability to provide internal trainings on packaging and testing of packaging.

Qualifications And Experience

• Post Graduation/Graduation in Packaging Technology (Preferably from IIP or any other equivalent institute)
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing sector
• FMCG experience preferably in WMS environment
• Working knowledge of key packaging technology areas, development processes, packaging testing with decent knowledge of machinery interface.
