Organization / Manning
- Reviews and revises manning based on the level of business. Control and compile associate rotas ensuring correct staffing levels dependent upon the Hotels occupancy and other operational needs.
Service Standards
- Ensure that all company brand standards are implemented.
- Maintains and enforces all quality and service standards and procedures for Housekeeping Services.
Training / Development
- Directs preparation and oversees the implementation of annual training plans. Identify the training ' requirements, organize, and follow through on-the-job training in close liaison with the Assistant Director of Rooms and Floor Supervisors.
- Reviews and endorses all training records.
- Ensures the preparation and updates of standard operating procedures.
- Identifies and prepares Section Trainers.
- Personally, conducts training as required and on a regular basis.
- Monitors the implementation and progress of various training programs and their effectiveness.
- Receive and take ownership of any guest complaints. Perform any appropriate investigation and follow-up with guests and associates coaching.
- Ensure all new housekeeping associates receive an induction schedule and through training and support when first joining the department.

- Work closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

- Assist with appraising performance of associates within the Housekeeping Department. Maintain close relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring that expected levels of quality are continuously met.

- Creates a positive and highly motivated working environment that promotes and develops teamwork and Assist with the supervision of all housekeeping associates and contractors employed within the department.
- Ensure that the Hotels grievance, disciplinary and guarantee of fair treatment procedures are followed.
- Utilizes and develops communication tools and channels for the dissemination of information and work flow in the department.
Operational Processes
- Oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operation by being on the guestroom floors, public areas and back of house.
- Carrying out spot checks and following-up were necessary.
- Rotate duties with supervisor- Public Area to be fully conversed with all areas in the Housekeeping Department.
- Review guest requests prior to arrival and ensure that they are properly set up in a timely manner.
- Handle guests concerns and comments and find a proper resolution to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist the Assistant Director of Rooms in the overall running of the Housekeeping Department and to deputize for in her absence.
- Drive the performance of the Housekeeping Department in conjunction with the management team, ensure the team delivers the highest quality in relation with Forbes, LQA and Rosewood Brand Standards to consistently meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Ensure that schedules are inputted in payroll system, and that all reports are completed and submitted along with the attendance to T &C in due time.
- Complete any special assignments directed by the Assistant Director of Rooms.
- Ensures regular preventive maintenance and general cleaning are carried out in the rooms and corridors and public areas.
- Supervises daily room assignments.
- Inspects all VIP rooms, guest floors, floor pantries and other areas daily.
- Ensures proper care and use of equipment, carts and baskets.
- Report all malfunctions on assigned floors to Engineering department. Follow up any reports, taking further action if required.
- Maintains high cleaning standards on all floors.
- Checks on maintaining proper par stocks for linen, cleaning and guest room supplies.
- Carries out inventories with regards to linen and guest room supplies, machinery, chemicals and recommends solutions to reduce losses and damages and order public area of cleaning chemical and cleaning supplies and guest supplies based on the inventory on the stock.
- Coordinates the maintenance of Carpets and Upholstery.
- Ensure all associates equipment is well maintained and in proper working order.
