Executive Housekeeper

Oversees daily housekeeping, recreation/health club, and applicable laundry shift operations.

Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in housekeeping or a related professional area; alternatively, a two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.
Housekeeping operations
- Communicate guestroom status to the Front Desk and coordinate maintenance needs with Engineering.
- Supervise cleaning schedules, daily shift operations, work assignments, and compliance with housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Inspect guestrooms and public spaces, address areas needing attention, and ensure staff understand required corrective actions.
- Maintain adequate supplies, equipment, and uniforms; assist with ordering guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms.
Costs and guest service
- Manage controllable departmental expenses and support budget goals using budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports.
- Handle guest problems and complaints, improve service performance, and promote guest satisfaction and continuous improvement.
People management
- Supervise staffing levels and ensure employees understand expectations and service requirements.
- Support employee accident investigations, fair policy administration, disciplinary procedures, documentation, and performance feedback.
- Train new room attendants, support employee orientation and appraisals, and assist with interviewing and hiring.
