About the Institution
Our client is a well-established, internationally accredited university in the UAE, recognised for its vibrant campus community and extensive student-facing programmes.
With a large, active campus hosting events throughout the academic year, they are seeking an experienced Events Manager to oversee all aspects of venue and event operations.
About The Role
As Events Manager, you will take full ownership of campus event planning and execution, managing everything from internal university events and VIP hospitality to vendor relationships and budget oversight.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that requires someone who is approachable, highly organised, and fully flexible across working hours including evenings and weekends.
What You'Ll Do
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the university's main events venue, ensuring all events run smoothly from setup to execution
- Manage all event reservations, logistics, and hospitality arrangements including VIP and corporate hospitality
- Coordinate with internal departments, colleges, and external vendors to deliver a seamless events experience
- Develop and maintain the annual events calendar in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes
- Prepare and manage budgets, including equipment, staffing, and facilities requirements
- Lead, supervise, and develop a small events support team
- Ensure all facilities, equipment, and resources are properly maintained and fit for purpose
- Act as the primary point of contact for all event-related queries and coordination
• UAE National (essential)
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Event Management, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in an events management role
- Prior experience within a higher education or large institutional environment is preferred
- Bilingual in Arabic and English - professional level in both, written and spoken
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Budget management experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - approachable, confident, and able to work with a wide range of people
- Fully flexible on working hours including evenings, weekends, and peak event periods
