Events Concept Designer

This role blends creativity with strategic thinking, developing event storylines, aesthetics, and experiences that leave a lasting impact.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in experiential design, storytelling, and trend forecasting, and is proficient in design and presentation tools to bring ideas to life.
Concept Development & Strategy
- Attend client briefings to fully understand the vision, objectives, and target audience.
- Develop and present creative event concepts, including themes, narratives, and visual direction, that align with brand identity and marketing goals.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify innovative and competitive creative directions.
- Prepare event strategy decks, including concept flow, mood boards, and experiential touchpoints.
- Create visually compelling proposals that outline the event’s ideation, look & feel, and audience journey.
Client & Vendor Relations
- Lead creative presentations with clients, showcasing renders, visual concepts, and storytelling elements.
- Work hand-in-hand with production teams and project managers to ensure creative concepts are executable and budget-aligned.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend AV, décor, and set design partners, ensuring consistency with project vision.
- Negotiate and coordinate with vendors for materials, design execution, and technical needs, maintaining alignment with creative direction and brand guidelines.
Planning & Execution
- Lead and mentor the team to translate concepts into tangible visual assets.
- Create detailed mood boards, spatial layouts, and event design decks for execution teams.
- Supervise spatial planning, stage design, and guest flow, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience.
- Oversee setup and installation phases to ensure flawless implementation of the creative vision.
- Ensure adherence to safety, operational, and venue requirements.
Performance & Growth
- Evaluate concept performance through post-event analysis and client feedback to refine future strategies.
- Stay up to date on global event design trends, technologies, and experiential marketing innovations.
- Drive creative innovation by integrating AI-powered design tools and emerging technologies in the ideation process.
- Contribute to the business growth of the events department by identifying opportunities for standout activations and collaborations.
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Design, Event Management, Marketing, or Visual Communication (or related field).
- 5–7 years of experience in event concept design, experiential marketing, or creative direction.
- Proven experience in luxury, fashion, or lifestyle sectors preferred.
- Strong vendor and industry network across the region.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an asset).
Skills & Abilities
- Strong creative vision with the ability to merge aesthetics and functionality.
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills with an eye for design detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and client communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with adaptability under pressure.
- Passionate about innovation, design trends, and experiential brand storytelling.
Technical Proficiencies
- Design Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma.
- 3D Visualization & Rendering: SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino, or Cinema 4D.
- Presentation & Collaboration: PowerPoint, Keynote, Notion, Monday.com, or Trello.
- Event Planning Software: Cvent, Social Tables, AllSeated (preferred).
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Midjourney, Runway ML, or ChatGPT for creative ideation.
