Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to check installation feasibility, cable routes, MDB/DB conditions, earthing points, civil requirements, and site readiness.
• Support the engineering team during site surveys by collecting site measurements, photos, electrical panel details, and required technical information.
• Execute AC and DC EV charger installation works according to approved drawings, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Install, mount, connect, and terminate EV chargers, power cables, protection devices, isolators, earthing connections, and related accessories.
• Carry out cable pulling, cable dressing, gland installation, labeling, and power cable termination works.
• Read and follow SLDs, electrical layouts, installation drawings, BOQs, and charger installation manuals.
• Supervise and guide installation teams or subcontracted technicians during site execution.
• Perform testing and commissioning activities, including basic electrical checks, continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, functional testing, charger start-up, and handover support.
• Configure EV chargers, including basic charger settings, network connection, load settings, backend/CPMS connection support, RFID/payment settings when applicable, and charger communication checks.
• Take over maintenance and aftersales activities, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, site visits, fault diagnosis, spare parts replacement, and client support.
• Coordinate with project engineers, design engineers, commissioning teams, suppliers, and aftersales teams to ensure smooth execution and service continuity.
• Identify site issues, installation risks, missing materials, charger faults, and technical conflicts, and report them clearly to the project team.
• Maintain proper site documentation, installation progress updates, testing records, maintenance reports, photos, and handover documents.
• Ensure all execution, commissioning, and maintenance activities comply with approved drawings, Saudi electrical standards, HSE requirements, and EV charging best practices.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power, or a related field.
• Must have a valid Iqama in Saudi Arabia.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation, low-voltage systems, power distribution, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience in installing AC and DC EV chargers is required.
• Experience in EV charger testing, commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance is required.
• Strong experience in cable pulling, cable termination, panel connections, earthing, protection devices, and electrical accessories installation.
• Ability to read and understand SLDs, electrical layouts, technical drawings, BOQs, and installation manuals.
• Familiarity with charger communication, backend/CPMS connection, network configuration, and basic software settings is preferred.
• Experience in supervising technicians or subcontractors is preferred.
• Familiarity with Saudi site execution practices and SEC requirements is an advantage.
• Good communication, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
