Role overview

Estimation and costing

• Review drawings, specifications, client requirements, and site conditions to define scope; visit sites, take measurements, and prepare quantity take-offs.
• Prepare BOQs, estimates, and client quotations for demolition, finishes, joinery, MEP, and associated work.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
• Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations, checking specifications, quantities, exclusions, and delivery terms.
• Identify missing information, scope discrepancies, and cost risks; prepare cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality.
• Price variations and additional work and maintain updated costing records.

Procurement and coordination

• Prepare procurement schedules with the Project Manager; source materials and request samples and technical information, confirming approvals before purchase.
• Negotiate supplier prices, payment terms, lead times, and delivery arrangements; prepare purchase orders and place orders within approved budgets and authority.
• Follow up orders, coordinate site deliveries, and check delivered materials against approved specifications, quantities, and purchase orders.
• Resolve shortages, incorrect or damaged deliveries, returns, and replacements; track purchases and flag budget overruns.
• Maintain quotation, purchase order, delivery note, invoice, supplier, material-rate, and subcontractor-price records; coordinate invoice verification with administration and accounting.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant UAE experience in fit-out estimation and material procurement.
• Practical knowledge of residential and commercial renovation, including flooring, tiling, ceilings, partitions, painting, waterproofing, joinery, and MEP.
• Ability to prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs independently from drawings and site measurements.
• Knowledge of UAE suppliers, subcontractors, material availability, and market rates.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to read AutoCAD drawings.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and resolve procurement issues with attention to detail.
• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred; familiarity with Zoho Books or similar purchasing and accounting software is an advantage.
• English is required.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 5,000–6,000 per month, with salary based on experience and capabilities.
