Estimator Engineer (Mechanical)

Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bills of quantities for mechanical works including HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting, fire suppression, and building services for large-scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed-use projects.

Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions to understand mechanical works scope and requirements.

Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information required for accurate estimation of mechanical works.

Prepare material take-offs, price analysis, equipment requirements, and subcontractor scope definitions for mechanical construction activities.

Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns including direct costs, indirect costs, overhead, profit margins, and contingencies for mechanical works.

Utilize estimating software such as CostX, Candy, Timberline, and other estimation tools to prepare accurate and competitive pricing for mechanical works.

Coordinate with mechanical subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate rates.

Prepare tender submissions, bid proposals, and commercial offers for mechanical works in compliance with client requirements and deadlines.

Conduct value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities in mechanical systems without compromising quality or specifications.

Prepare comparison sheets, cost analysis reports, and risk assessments for mechanical works to support management decision-making.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions with clients and consultants.

Maintain and update cost databases, unit rates, historical data, and mechanical subcontractor/supplier information.

Coordinate with project management, procurement, and planning teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of mechanical estimates.

Review post-contract variations, change orders, and additional work estimates for ongoing mechanical works.

Ensure compliance with company estimating standards, procedures, and quality control processes.
