The Estimation Manager leads the estimating function for joinery and fit-out projects, delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates from tender stage through contract award.
The role manages the estimating team, coordinates with internal stakeholders, and supports the delivery of profitable, low-risk projects.
Estimating & Tenders
Prepare and review detailed cost estimates for joinery and fit-out works
Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and opportunities
Develop take-offs, BOQs, pricing schedules, and value engineering options
Ensure tender compliance with contractual and client requirements
Leadership & Coordination
Manage and develop the estimating team
Allocate workloads and meet tender deadlines
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure buildability and cost accuracy
Commercial & Risk Management
Identify commercial risks and opportunities
Provide cost advice during pre-construction
Support tender reviews, negotiations, and contract handovers
Suppliers & Reporting
Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing
Maintain cost databases and prepare tender reports
Continuously improve estimating systems and processes
Qualification & Experience
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, or similar (preferred)
5–7 years’ estimating experience in joinery or interior fit-out
Proven experience leading an estimating team
Skills & Competencies
Strong numerical, analytical, and leadership skills
Advanced Excel and estimating software knowledge
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Commercially focused and able to manage multiple tenders
