Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in MEP and contracting companies.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP works.
- Experience with quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tender pricing.
- Experience with UAE suppliers and subcontractors; UAE/GCC contracting experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation or tendering software.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills; ability to meet tender deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates, quotations, commercial proposals, and detailed project cost breakdowns for MEP and general contracting work.
- Review tender and contract documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scopes to assess pricing requirements, risks, discrepancies, and omissions.
- Complete quantity take-offs and BOQ pricing for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, and other MEP works.
- Request, obtain, evaluate, and compare supplier, subcontractor, and manufacturer quotations; prepare RFQs and follow up to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with Technical, Procurement, Projects, and Operations teams on requirements and execution methodology.
- Prepare tender submissions, clarifications, exclusions, qualifications, value engineering proposals, and revised commercial submissions.
- Attend site visits and tender clarification or pre-bid meetings when required.
- Maintain cost databases and market price information; prepare comparison sheets, commercial evaluations, and management summaries.
- Review contractual commercial terms affecting project pricing and maintain tender records.
- Ensure estimates and submissions are accurate, commercially viable, and delivered by required deadlines.
