The Estimation Engineer prepares detailed BOQs, quotations, and cost estimates for interior fit-out projects and supports accurate tender submissions and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs and quotations for materials, labor, and project components using drawings and specifications.
- Calculate material, labor, and resource costs for interior fit-out projects.
- Prepare tender submissions with relevant documents, project scopes, and cost breakdowns.
- Complete quantity take-offs and measurements from project drawings.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing, quotes, and lead times.
- Support cost control by aligning estimates with project requirements and finding savings without compromising quality.
- Maintain estimation and tender records and assist with cost and progress reporting.
Requirements
- At least 5 years as an Estimation Engineer in interior fit-out, with proven BOQ, quotation, and cost-estimation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with estimation tools such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, and cost management.
- High accuracy in measurement, take-offs, and estimates; excellent written and verbal communication.
- UAE market experience is preferred; a valid UAE driving licence is a plus.
