About This Role
The Position
Responsible for providing strategic advice and input for the operation of projects, planning and scheduling, cost engineering, within the guidelines of management and in line with the client requirements, by utilizing the available resources to support and ensure that accurate and competitive quotations are prepared.
Key Responsibilities
- Compiles all tender bids, ensures that it is complete in all aspects of pricing, submission, and checks all estimating and tendering aspects relevant to the project implementation.
- Follow the Tendering Procedure stated in the annexed sheet.
- Ensure a summary of the job is prepared, including costs of labor, material, quantity and quality of the material.
- Ensure that the post tender negotiation/clarification with clients so as to arrive at a tangible decision on tenders with a view to obtaining the job with the minimum markups and profits.
- Estimation - Coordinates with estimating units, finance and accounting depts. in establishing tenders and bids.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying.
- 10+ years of experience
- Proven experience within fit-out projects in the Middle East
- Demonstrates applied knowledge of various forms of construction contracts in line with the essential job function.
