The ESG Reporting Analyst supports Dunelm’s sustainability, net-zero, and other ESG targets through reporting and insights.
The role sits within the Legal & Compliance function and works with stakeholders across the business.
The business is hybrid; this role expects three days per week in the office or on-site.
What you’ll be doing
- Produce and improve internal and external reporting on operational targets and regulatory obligations, including packaging taxes, energy, waste, and greenhouse gas reporting.
- Support accurate Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas reporting, including data management and automation.
- Document methods, processes, and assumptions, and produce clear, auditable reporting outputs.
- Coordinate data collation and review for external ESG ratings and annual mandatory disclosures.
- Build cross-business relationships and provide insights and analyses to advance the ESG agenda.

Advantageous skills and experience
- Highly analytical thinking across numerical and textual information; advanced Excel data analysis across value-chain sources.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or similar enterprise reporting systems and data tools.
- Some knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, ESG reporting, UK SRS, TCFD, and the GHG Protocol.
- Experience delivering and documenting reporting methods, analyses, and processes; large or complex business experience, especially in retail.
- Ability to research complex subjects, summarize findings, and develop actionable recommendations from ambiguity.
