Enterprise Risk Manager

Role overview

Risk leadership and framework

• Advise on complex enterprise and operational risk matters and partner with senior stakeholders to assess and manage risks and controls.
• Own framework elements including KRIs, RCSAs, Operational Risk Event Management, and risk committee management.
• Drive risk initiatives, strengthen risk maturity and culture, and improve GRC tools and framework processes.
• Prepare and present risk reporting for executive committees and Board documentation.

Team and action oversight

• Guide, coach, and direct Risk Analysts and Senior Analysts.
• Track and challenge risk actions, guiding business owners to resolve root causes within agreed target dates.

Experience and capabilities

• Deep Enterprise or Operational Risk Management experience in financial services, risk consultancies, or Big 4 environments.
• Typically five or more years of relevant experience and progression into managerial or senior advisory responsibilities.
• Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Hands-on GRC software expertise and high proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to lead initiatives, own outcomes, and mentor or manage team members.

Preferred experience

• SME lending, fintech, or fast-paced digital lending experience is highly desirable.
• Curiosity, good judgement, and enthusiasm about AI's potential to support the role.
