Role overview

Manage the team responsible for Cohere inference APIs and SDKs and the customer dashboard for model access, team management, and billing.

The role is a hands-on leadership position combining mentoring, strategy, and technical contribution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and grow backend and full-stack software engineers.
  • Participate in model releases and develop API capabilities; collaborate with Modelling and Model Serving teams.
  • Work with UX designers on customer workflows for teams, API keys, billing, and configurations.
  • Oversee and contribute to open-source projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing engineering teams and delivering high-quality software.
  • Experience shipping products with many stakeholders.
  • Comfort across frontend and backend; Go, Next.js, TypeScript, and React experience is mentioned.
  • Communication, documentation, recruiting, and team-development capabilities are sought.
  • Interest in AI and motivation to help scale a company.
