Engineering Lab Technician Co-op/Intern
About the Role
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge networking technologies in a dynamic lab setting. As part of Nokia’s NI Services group, you’ll collaborate with R&D and Customer Support teams to provide technical support across IP Platforms labs. Your tasks will include installing and configuring equipment, performing software installs and backups, troubleshooting node configurations, and upgrading hardware. This role offers valuable exposure to real-world network environments and helps you build practical technical skills that will support your future career.

Qualifications
- You have:
- Enrollment in a Computer networking-related program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively with others.
- The candidate must be able to work successfully in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of IP networking, familiar with networking concepts.
- Familiar or proficient with UNIX and LINUX.
- Scripting languages (i.e., PERL).
Responsibilities
- As part of our team, you will:
- Work with new products and technologies.
- Troubleshoot and debug node configurations.
- The software installs, system configurations restore and backing up databases.
- Troubleshoot and upgrade cards.
- Installation and configuration of new equipment into existing networks.
