Responsibilities
- Prepare test plans, procedures, specifications, and technical documentation; design, qualify, and optimize automated or semi-automated systems and fixtures.
- Install, configure, validate, and maintain test equipment; develop test programs and automation solutions.
- Execute functional, electrical, performance, reliability, and product-validation testing.
- Analyze test results, yield, equipment logs, and failure trends; debug product, tester, fixture, and process failures and support corrective actions.
- Improve yield, test coverage, cycle time, throughput, and equipment efficiency.
- Support NPI, product transfers, engineering changes, and manufacturing ramp-up; maintain test hardware, software, schematics, bills of materials, and specifications.
- Conduct GR&R, SPC, TFMEA, DOE, and other analyses; qualify, validate, calibrate, and maintain test systems.
- Troubleshoot production test stations and automate test-data collection, reporting, and analysis.
- Prepare technical reports; train technicians and production personnel; ensure compliance with quality, engineering, and safety requirements.
- Identify continuous-improvement, cost-reduction, automation, and standardization opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production test equipment and systems; understanding of test methodologies, validation, and manufacturing.
- Experience with automated or semi-automated systems is preferred.
- LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, C#, or other test-automation programming knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience with fixtures, measurement equipment, sensors, instruments, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Strong knowledge of SPC, GR&R, FMEA, DOE, root-cause analysis, and failure analysis.
- Experience analyzing test data, yield trends, defects, and equipment performance; understanding of NPI, product transfers, and ramp-up.
- Strong hardware, software, and process troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excel, Minitab, JMP, Power BI, or similar data-analysis experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of semiconductor, electronics, PCBA, automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently across multiple priorities, and attention to detail.
- A relevant engineering bachelor's degree is preferred; Six Sigma, Quality Engineering, Test Engineering, or LabVIEW training is advantageous.
