Engineer – Procurement & Estimation

► Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring technical equipment, materials, and services.

► Review engineering drawings and specifications to align purchases with project needs.

► Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors

► Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, and compliance.

► Manage purchase orders and track inventory for project timelines

► Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams on procurement strategy.

► Support continuous improvement initiatives in cost savings and supply chain optimization.

► Study tender documents including drawings, project specifications, BOQ, scope of work, contract details, and conditions.

► Implement tender strategy as communicated by the proposals/estimation manager

► Liaise with the operations team to establish execution and reflect the same in estimation.

► Establish direct cost resources required to execute various activities.

► Prepare man-hour calculations for various activities.

► Analyse vendor technical offers and commercial as well in view of project specifications and standards

► Preparing required bid documents including commercial and technical submittals.

► Prepare and maintain project planning chart and delivery timelines.

► Regularly update the planning chart based on current material status and production

progress.

► Plan and monitor material requirements to ensure timely availability for manufacturing

activities.

► Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, QC, Stores, and Logistics

departments to ensure smooth project execution.

► Monitor project progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions.

► Track material status, procurement progress, and production performance against

planned schedules.

► Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and customer requirements.
