Engineer II - Electrical and Communication
About This Role
Overview: Engineer 2 in the Electrical & Communication Team at Platform Integration performs technical execution and support activities related to electrical power and communication systems , and software-enabled test tools. The role contributes to platform integration, automated testing, and data analysis through coding, scripting, and tool development in compliance with approved engineering standards and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
- Electrical & Communication Integration Execution
- Execute integration tasks related to power distribution, wiring, connectors, and communication interfaces in accordance with approved drawings and ICDs
- Test Tool Development & Automation Support
- Execute development and enhancement of software tools, scripts, or utilities to assist electrical and communication testing, monitoring, and validation activities.
- Testing & Verification Support
- Execute bench, laboratory, and ground test activities and support execution of ATPs, test procedures, and automated test scripts.
- Technical Documentation
- Preparation and updating of integration, test, and tool-related documentation including ATPs, ATRs, user guides, and test logs.
- Issue Identification & Troubleshooting
- Support basic troubleshooting and fault isolation of electrical, communication, or software-related test issues.
- Configuration & Tool Management
- Execute configuration control for test tools, scripts, and integration records in accordance with project requirements following platform integration applications.
Experience & Qualification
- 4-6+ years of experience in electrical, communication, or avionics engineering, preferably in platform integration, testing, or systems engineering environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical power distribution and communication systems.
- Intermediate experience in software development or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C/C++, LabVIEW).
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553/1760 standards
- Familiarity with test equipment, bench testing, and automated test environments.
