Role overview

Maintenance and repair duties

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect tools, equipment, and machines.
• Maintain inventory and request parts and supplies; communicate shift activities and issues to other employees.
• Diagnose and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guest-room items.
• Program televisions and complete general engineering, painting, minor wall and woodwork, bulb, and air-conditioning filter tasks.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures and relevant engineering software for maintenance and energy management.
• Train and guide other engineers and perform on-call readings and rounds.

Skills and qualifications

• Show maintenance aptitude across air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Have strong knowledge of safe hand and power tool use, basic copper or PVC pipe repair, and average ability to diagnose hotel MEP faults.
• Secondary school diploma/GED or vocational or technical training is preferred.

• Follow company safety policies, report hazards and incidents, complete safety training, and store flammable materials appropriately.
• Maintain professional appearance, protect property and private information, and meet quality and guest-service expectations.
• Communicate clearly, support coworkers, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and reaching.
