  • This is an office-based position located in Capital Power’s Calgary office.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in physical power trading in real time or day ahead, with experience purchasing and flowing power throughout WECC on many transmission service providers, specifically in the Western US
  • Experience importing and exporting power between CAISO, SPP, and WECC
  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets, develop analytical models, and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in relevant trading platforms and analytical tools, such as Python, SQL, and R.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
