Role Overview
Veethree Technologies is an established SME business with an international customer base, the company is a fast-moving, forward-thinking software organisation that has a dynamic team that provide bespoke software and product applications to its clients. Having recently moved to larger premises as part of our growth plan we are seeking to appoint a new role of embedded QT application developer at our offices in Poole. You will be a key member of the software team and will contribute to the development of the next generation of connected industrial and marine products.

Job Summary

Having recently moved to larger premises as part of our growth plan we are seeking to appoint a new role of embedded QT application developer at our offices in Poole. You will be a key member of the software team and will contribute to the development of the next generation of connected industrial and marine products.
Accountabilities
Full lifecycle development of QT based applications, on embedded Linux platforms
Development of user focussed HMIs
Working with graphic designers to inform and realize their UI concepts
Development of testing and validation strategies
SDK and library development for third party developers
Maintenance and improvement of software for existing products
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 Experience of developing QT/QML applications targeting a Linux platform ideally an embedded target
- Experience of developing well-structured and intuitive user interfaces on embedded devices
- Committed to good SCM practices
- Familiarity with CAN bus, and protocols such as J1939 or CANOpen would be a bonus, but not essential
- Excellent communicator, written, verbal and electronically with experience interfacing with clients
- Committed to continuous improvement of development practices
- Self-motivated team player able to work within a team or on solo activities with equal commitment
Summary
In this role, you can expect to be developing and maintaining new and enhancing new existing end user applications on a new embedded Linux family of displays. Our products are used in a wide range of applications from luxury superyachts to race car steering wheels and fuelling rigs. We are looking to double the size of our engineering team over the next three years and are currently seeking new embedded software talent to support our growth.
